DSR Definitions

Use the DSR Definitions screen to configure various aspects of your Daily Sales Report.

The DSR Definitions screen can be accessed under Setup menu > DSR submenu > DSR Definitions.

Note: We recommend that you review the reports generated from your POS system before setting up the DSR Definition. Typically, the DSR Definition should mirror the POS daily report. Depending on your POS setup, Compeat can automatically import data into the Time Periods tab and certain other tax, credit card, and cash fields. We suggest that you read the information on integrating with your POS system, which can be found in the section on POS Setup.

A DSR account definition must be defined for each restaurant that will enter DSR’s. Different restaurants can use the same or different GL account definitions for the same field. For example, Restaurant 1 may define Tax 1 under the Sales Tax tab to use account 1120-000 and Restaurant 2 may define Tax 1 to use account 1130-000.

To save time and reduce effort, the Copy Definitions button in the toolbar of the DSR Definition screen allows you to copy the entire current DSR Definition to another restaurant. Additionally, you can copy the time period tabs within the same restaurant.
