Store groups can be defined and assigned to each entity in order to group them for reporting purposes.

 

You can elect to define two types of store groups.  For example, you may choose to assign each store to a region, state or type of concept.  Note that you are not limited to using these definitions and may assign any categories that make sense for your business.

To further define the options available under each Store Group Description, add them under Setup > Entities > Store Groups 1 and Setup > Entities > Store Groups 2.
