Labor Manager > Labor & Scheduling > House Shifts

A house shift is a scheduled shift without an employee and is setup directly on the schedule or posted schedule.  House shifts are designed so that managers can either assign them to an employee later or advertise them to all available employees to pick up. How this will function depends on the options selected in labor definitions.

The House Shifts screen is designed to allow users the ability to advertise house shifts.  Advertising a house shift will send a notification to all available employees assigned to the job who have elected to receive house shift notifications.  Advertising the shift will also make the shift available for all available employees assigned to the job to pick up through the MyWorkforce portal.

To advertise any house shift, simply click the 'Advertise' button for the shift.
