Audit Log

The Audit Log tracks when, what, and by whom important system transactions were made.

Compeat keeps an event record in the Audit Log when:

Records are deleted.
Batches are posted.
Bank Import File is used.
DSRs are completed or change dates.
Orders are converted.
Entries are voided.
Void Invoices screen date warnings are ignored.
Voucher screen cost variances are ignored.
Checks are printed without posting the payment batch.
POS mappings are updated.
POS codes are copied.
Orders are transmitted.
Cost Variances are reset on the inventory menu.
Reports are generated.
Customer accounts are edited.
A change is made to the Enterprise Definitions.
A price that is higher than the price per inventory unit of the originally suggested value is selected in the Suggest Order by Shopping List screen.
A change is made to the Standard Units of Measure screen.
A change is made to the Restaurants, Accounting Entities, Commissaries, or Departments screens.
A change is made to the Group Security or Users screens.
Produce Prep Items is unposted.
Changes are made to the Banks screen.
Changes are made to the Sales Mix Exceptions screen.
POS interfaces are copied.
The Open Closed Years utility is used.
Orders are created through Suggested Orders.
Change is made on the Inter-Company screen.
Change is made on the Computer Checks Printer Setup screen.
An order is place through Suggest Order screen.
A change is made to any of the Inventory Levels setup screens.
A change is made to the Chart of Accounts screen.
The Delete Sales Mix utility is run.
The Purge Data utility is run.
A change is made on the Periods screen.

To view audit logs, select at least one filter, such as Entity or User Name, and then click Get Records. A list of all matching logs will be displayed. The Date/Time given is the date/time from SQL Server rather than the client workstation, which may differ if they are in different time zones.

The Key Field is a unique identifier for the record modified. For example, if you edit a DSR, it is the DSR date; if you delete an invoice, it is the voucher number.

Use filtering and sorting options to focus your search of the Audit Log (see Finding Items).

Note: When the Audit Log gets too large, you can empty it using the Purge Data utility.
