This screen provides the mapping definitions used by DSR-related polling processing. The configuration maps DSR header information, receipts, and sales data, and then writes the aggregated results to the DSR for the polled day.
The Copy DSR Mapping button creates an exact copy of the active DSR mapping. The Load Mappings from DSR Definitions button will create any active Compeat Advantage time period. The Clear Unmapped Items button clears any items that do not have a valid tracking definition assigned.
Each DSR mapping is identified by a name in the Description field.
Description of fields:
Type The type of data being mapped. The type selected will determine the available items in the Item column. Select from the following types:
DSR This type includes the following fixed items from the DSR screen: Food Taxes, Alcohol Taxes, Exempt Food Sales, Except Alcohol Sales, Cash, Non-Compeat Gift Cards, and Charge Tips.
Receipts This type includes items defined under Setup > DSR > Payment Types.
Sales This type includes items defined under Setup > DSR > Categories.
Item Select an item from the drop-down menu. The items available depend on the Type selection above.
Time Period The time period during which results matching the criteria will be written. Available for sales mapping only. The time period names in the drop-down will be the names configured in the DSR Definitions screen for the currently active store.
POS Rev. Center The revenue center value in the result set that the current line will map.
POS Time Period The time period value in the result set that the current line will map.
Definition DSR Definition that the current line will map. Definitions are a grouping of POS fields 1, 2 and 3 in the result set along with a multiplier value.
Qty. Type Sets whether the quantity or total sales values from the result set will be mapped by the current line.
Access the Tracking Definitions screen by clicking Tracking Definitions in the toolbar of the DSR Mapping screen.
The tracking definitions screen is used to build groups of POS field and multiplier mappings that should be combined into single DSR categories. This provides the ability to easily condense multiple POS codes configured in a POS into a single mapping definition within Compeat and provide that grouping with a meaningful name. These values can be automatically populated with the Load Tracking Definitions feature described below. Tracking definitions are specific to the DSR mapping for which they are created.
Description of fields:
Description The name of the tracking definition. Used to fill the Tracking Definition drop-down in the DSR Mapping screen.
POS Field 1 The value of posfield1 in the result set to which the current definition will map.
POS Field 2 The value of posfield2 in the result set to which the current definition will map.
POS Field 3 The value of posfield3 in the result set to which the current definition will map.
Multiplier Value by which the qty or totalsales value in the result set should be multiplied during mapping. Common values are -1 (default 1). Select "-1" to reverse the sign of a number coming in from the POS system. For example, if you want comps subtracted from your sales and the output from your POS system assigns a negative number to comps, you would want to flip the sign so that it is properly subtracted. To keep the POS-assigned sign, select "1."
Access the Load Tracking Definitions screen by clicking Load Tracking Definitions in the toolbar of the Tracking Definitions screen.
The Load Tracking Definitions screen allows you to automatically populate the Tracking Definitions screen with values retrieved by the execution of a tracking definition polling step type. Upon step execution, polled tracking definitions are loaded into a store-specific (store as specified on the polling job) structure for use in this screen. The screen will, by default, show all definitions currently loaded by the most recent tracking definition step execution for the current store.
Description of fields:
Marked Specifies whether the current line item will be operated on.
Description The description returned by the tracking definition step execution.
POS Field 1 The value in posfield1 returned by the tracking definition step execution.
POS Field 2 The value in posfield2 returned by the tracking definition step execution.
POS Field 3 The value in posfield3 returned by the tracking definition step execution.
The Show Missing Definitions/Show All Definitions button allows you to filter between showing the entire contents of the tracking definition step execution and only the items that are not currently defined as a tracking definition for the DSR mapping. The Load Missing Definitions button can be used to load only definitions that are undefined into the tracking definitions for the current DSR mapping. The Replace Definitions button allows you to replace all definitions for marked items with the new selected values.
Tracking definitions are merged on unique descriptions, meaning all mapping items sharing a common description will be merged into a single tracking definition by that name containing one mapping line-item for each of the distinct POS Field 1, POS Field 2 and POS Field 3 combinations.
