The Advanced Reporting features of Compeat allow you to produce matrices, similar to pivot tables, that break your data into hierarchical categories in a tree-like data structure. You can view summary or detailed data by simply expanding or collapsing a category.
The image below shows a typical matrix with expanded parts highlighted in yellow. Note that each "parent" category of Cash is expanded to show the detail data of the Cash account. The collapsed categories display only summary data.
