This feature allows you to generate barcodes from the UPCs defined in Compeat. These can then be printed to barcode labels, or simply used as a scannable list of barcodes. Barcodes must first be defined in Restaurant Inventory Items, Bar Codes tab. The generated barcodes have been formatted to fit on 1" x 2.625" Avery Labels (Avery product #5160).
The options screen appears similar to the following:
The following options are available to customize your report:
Entity # Select the restaurant on which you wish to report.
Label
Type Select a label layout type of either Default or ABF 1 x 2.
The default layout can be used for 1" x 2.625" Avery Labels (Avery product #5160).
Qty Each Select the number of each bar code to print. This allows you to generate multiple bar code labels for the same item. This feature is disabled and defaults to 1 when selecting by purchase order.
Include Inactive Check to include inactive items in the Bar Code report.
Bar Code Type Specify whether you want to report on:
Purchase unit UPC Those items with purchase unit/bar code definitions in their Restaurant Inventory Items screen/Bar Codes tab.
Inventory unit UPC Those items with inventory unit/bar code definitions in their Restaurant Inventory Items screen/Bar Codes tab, or on their Master Inventory Items screen.
Purchase Order Number Use to print bar codes for all items in a purchase order that have bar codes assigned. A bar code will be printed for each base unit in the order. For example, if you select an order for 2 cases of beer and each case = 24 bottles, 48 bar code labels for that item will be generated in the report.
Item Numbers To include only specific items, enter a list of item numbers, separated by commas.
Inventory Levels To limit the report to a particular inventory level, select the inventory level from the drop-down list; otherwise, leave blank for all inventory levels. Check "Group" next to a level to group by that level and display the level description as a subheading in the report.
Note: Compeat prints UPC-A type bar codes.
