To create a financial statement using the eXcellent Financial Functions, you must first set up a spreadsheet that defines which restaurants, which accounts, and what dates will be included on the report.
Before you begin creating your Compeat financial statements, it is a good idea to have all of the following:
Excel 2003 or 2007 installed on your computer with the eXcellent Financial Functions installed. For information on installing, see Installing the eXcellent Financial Functions.
Sample financial statements to use as a model. If you do not have any financial statements, consult your accountant for assistance or contact Compeat.
A printed copy of your chart of accounts. One shortcut method of starting your financial statement is to export the chart of accounts directly into an Excel worksheet, and then use that as a starting point for your statement. For information, see Printing Screens and Files.
