A Security Password is required to modify settings for Groups and Users. This password acts as the gatekeeper to modifying user access to the system. Each time you select a Security option (Groups or Users), you will be prompted for the Security Password.
To set or change the Security Password, you must be logged into Compeat as an administrator. Go to Setup > Security, and select Set Security Password. Enter a password, at least 6 characters long with at least 1 non-alphabetic character, that you would like to create and click OK to create it.
Note: If you create a new password when one already exists, the previous password will be replaced with the new one. There cannot be multiple Security Passwords.
If you are hosted on Compeat's servers, Compeat will assigned a Security Password upon your initial setup. If you need to have your Security Password re-set at anytime, contact Compeat Support.
