POS Polling Information Tab

Use this POS Polling Information tab if you are going to poll your POS system for data.  

Polling setup should be done with the assistance of the Compeat Help Desk. Micros 9700, 8700 and Siva are some of the POS types that require this screen to be configured. There are other common POS types (Micros 3700, Aloha, POSitouch, etc.) that use a different vehicle for polling and for those restaurants, this tab does not need to be configured for polling to work. Description of fields:

• FTP Address The FTP address of the restaurant’s POS PC. This is typically the IP address of the POS PC.

• User Name The ID used to login to the POS system.

• Password The password used to login to the POS system.

Note: For security purposes, the passwords will not display, just asterisks (*’s).

• Remote Dir The directory on the POS system where the data files exported from the POS will reside. When Compeat logs on the POS to get data, it will look for the data in this directory.

• Test POS Connection This button allows you to test the network connection between Compeat and your POS.
