There are four principal ways to access topics in this Help system effectively:
Context-sensitive help Press the F1 key in any screen to go directly to the help section for that screen.
Contents A table of contents is shown in the left panel of the Help (click on "Contents" if it is not showing). It is organized into major sections, represented by books . Each book contains numerous related topics. Click on the book to view its topics.
Index The index is a two-level system of topics and subtopics, like a book index. Browse the list or enter a keyword in the search field.
Search Like Internet search engines, the Search tab looks through all the text of the Help system for matches of what you have typed. This is the best way to find small, specific, or elusive bits of information.
You can print a copy of an open help topic.
Open the help to the topic that you want to print.
Click in the main frame (to select it from the Contents frame).
Press Ctrl-P. A print dialog box will open where you can select printer options.
Alternatively, simply click the printer icon on the help toolbar.
The Table of Contents of this Help system is organized from top to bottom quite like Compeat's menu bar appears from left to right, with two exceptions:
Setup information is at the beginning of the Help
File menu information is towards the end of the Help.
