Updating Software

Software updates are available free to all users with a current maintenance subscription. Email notifications are sent out with each new release.

To update your software:

  1. Go to the Compeat website at: www.compeat.com.

  2. Click on Client Login (located in the upper, right hand corner of the Compeat website Home page).

  3. Enter your username and password. Click Submit.

Note: a user name and password are provided with the initial software package in the document, Compeat Help Support and Updates. If you need help with your login, contact Compeat Support.

  1. Choose Downloads from the next screen.
    You will be shown a list of items available for downloading and their respective version numbers. On the Downloads page, you will find the Download Instructions. This is a PDF document explaining the download process and how to install Compeat updates. We recommend you read the instructions before updating for the first time.

  1. Click on the item you would like to update and then click Save File.
    For software updates, an .exe file will be downloaded (you may need to unzip it). See Compeat Advantage .NET Update Instructions on the downloads webpage for further instructions, if needed.

Checking Current Version

To determine if you have the latest version of the software, check the version number of your current version on the About screen under the Help menu.
